Dylan Gibbons is a local journalist who write about everything what happened in Cincinnati. Add new themes into news, include with relationships.

2014-2017

Emily Begley was a third-year journalism major while on the bureau staff. She produced wrote a story about drones being developed by UC professors and students, a feature about a UC Blue Ash class that teaches French to elementary students, and a personal account of working as a volunteer at a local animal shelter. The stories were syndicated to Soapbox Cincinnati.

Matthew Woolley was a fifth-year journalism major while on the bureau. He produced a story about two former homeless Cincinnati residents forging paths to self-sufficiency. The story was syndicated to Soapbox Cincinnati.

2013

Tyler Bell was a senior journalism major while on the bureau staff.  He produced a story about a recovering addict trying to succeed as a comedian. He co-produced a piece about a bilingual service at a Cincinnati church and a feature about cyclocross.

Carli Hudson was a fourth-year electronic media and journalism double major. She produced a story about a multi-level-marketing company that recruits college students, and she co-produced a feature about the Cincinnati Zoo Santa.

Lance Lambert was a fourth-year student with majors in journalism and economics.

Samuel Morren was a senior with majors in journalism and art history.

Justin Schapker was a photojournalism major with a minor in electronic media. He produced a story about an 84-year-old Japanese-American woman recalling the attack on Pearl Harbor, as well as a story about proponents of a school district levy. He co-produced a feature about cyclocross.

Dakota Wright was a senior with a journalism major and a minor in Spanish. She produced a story about a comedian with muscular dystrophy. She co-produced a feature about the Santa at the Cincinnati Zoo and a story about a bilingual service at a Cincinnati church.

Michelle Brandstetter was a third-year journalism major with a minor in women’s studies.

Kats Mockler was a fourth-year student with a political science major and a certificate in journalism.

Taylor Norton was a senior with a degree in photojournalism and a minor in English.

Alex Schroff was a fourth-year anthropology and photojournalism student.

Tara Spacy was a third-year photojournalism and communication major.

Alex Weaver was a fifth-year photojournalism and creative writing major.

2012

Keith Bowers was a third-year photojournalism major with a minor in Asian Studies while on the bureau staff. He produced stories about Southeast Ohio vineyards (which was syndicated to CityBeat) and a local organization serving the needs of the poor. He co-produced a story about the 2012 election.

Kelsea Daulton was a second-year journalism and English student while serving on the bureau. She wrote about an innovative spoken-word series. The story was syndicated to Fox19.

Jack Ellenberger was fourth-year photojournalism major while on the bureau. He produced stories about an urban farmer (syndicated to Soapbox Cincinnati), a local musicians’ collective (Fox19) and a Northside music instrument and repair shop. He co-produced stories about Cincinnati’s cycling community and a local printmaker who started a national print-exchange program.

Tia Garcia was a second-year student with double major in journalism and communications and a minor in Spanish. She wrote about a community of behind-the-scenes workers at a local horse track.

Chelsea Gibertson was a senior photojournalism major with a minor in psychology. While on the bureau, she produced stories about the Joe Nuxhall Miracle Fields in Fairfield, Ohio, (syndicated to Fox19), a music education outreach program (Fox19), a women’s pro football player (WCPO-TV) and Occupy Cincinnati. She co-produced a story about local craft brewers that was syndicated to CityBeat.

Jordan Horras was a fourth-year photojournalism student with a minor in electronic media. He co-produced stories about Cincinnati’s cycling community and a local printmaker who started a national print-exchange program.

Danielle Koval was a senior with a major in fine arts and a minor in photojournalism. Among the bureau stories she produced was a piece about brothers who are coaches of rival softball teams.

Maria Roos is a native of Sweden who played for the UC golf team. Her bureau stories included a first-person account of her experience riding a Greyhound bus on Thanksgiving break.

Savannah Stark was a fifth-year photojournalism major. She produced bureau stories about local food pantries and soup kitchens and a Bikers’ Church. She also contributed to a package about modern-day work life that was syndicated to the Cincinnati Enquirer.

Angela Travillian was a third-year journalism major with an electronic media minor. She contributed to a piece about local craft brewers that was syndicated to CityBeat.

Kristen Vinci was a second-year photojournalism major. She wrote a piece about local craft brewers that was syndicated to CityBeat.

2010-11

Ariel Cheung was a third-year journalism student while at the bureau. She was 2011-12 editor-in-chief of The News Record. She also had internships at Fox Toledo News, the Dayton Daily News and the Chicago Sun-Times.

Sam Greene was a third-year photojournalism major. Greene also was the online editor and managing editor of The News Record and a new media intern at WCPO-TV in Cincinnati.

Ian Johnson was a photojournalism major. He photographed stories for The News Record, and he had an internship at CityBeat.

Eamon Queeney was a fourth-year photojournalism student and photo editor of The News Record. Eamon had internships at CityBeat and the Enquirer.

Randi Taylor was a double major in journalism and communications. She worked as a production technician at WCPO-TV for three years and interned at Wordsworth Public Relations and Little Sisters of the Poor.

Kevin Wauligman was a fourth-year photojournalism major. His photos were published in Young Children’s Magazine and in two books by Redleaf Press.

2009-10

Matt Cunningham was a second-year graduate student in UC’s Professional Writing and Editing Program while heading the bureau during the 2009-10 academic year. Before starting graduate work, he edited content for small textbook and magazine publishers, and he covered West Chester Township for Cox Ohio Newspapers’ daily and weekly papers.

Kevin Doyle was a third-year industrial design major and pursued a photojournalism certificate while at the bureau. His photography work ranged from portraits and business assignments to content for The News Record and an independent tattoo magazine.

Madison Galster was a senior journalism major while at the bureau. Her stories were featured in The News Record, and she interned with Cincinnati Magazine and Cincinnati Family Magazine.

Mark Hixenbaugh was a junior in the electronic media program while at the bureau. His portfolio included projects in website design and digital video production.

Lauren Justice was a fourth-year photojournalism major with a minor in sociology while producing for the NMB.

Harrison Kreimer was a fifth-year journalism major while at the bureau. He wrote for The News Record and worked as a DJ for UC’s Bearcast Radio.

Elise Manahan was a senior in the journalism program’s photojournalism track. She photographed stories for The News Record and served as a photojournalism intern with the Enquirer.

Ashley Morgan was a fourth-year electronic media student with a certificate in journalism. Her work appeared on the Electronic Media website and in The News Record.

Emily Wendler was a double major in journalism and geology. She wrote for The News Record, and worked with Enquirer reporter Gregory Korte in a computer-assisted reporting internship.
